Affiliate Disclosure

How InsidePredictions.com earns revenue, what it means for you, and how we protect editorial independence.

Last Updated: February 25, 2026 · Reviewed quarterly and updated when affiliate relationships or regulations change.

The Short Version

InsidePredictions.com is an independently operated educational and informational resource covering prediction markets. We earn revenue through affiliate partnerships with some of the platforms we review and recommend.

When you click certain links on our site and create an account on a prediction market platform, we may receive a commission from that platform. This commission comes from the platform, not from you. You are never charged more for using our links.

Affiliate relationships do not determine our rankings, scores, or recommendations. We review platforms that have no affiliate relationship with us, and we publish honest criticisms of platforms that do pay us commissions. Our evaluation methodology is published in full on our How We Evaluate Platforms page.

Prediction market trading involves financial risk. You can lose some or all of the money you deposit. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to trade. Check your local regulations before trading on any platform we discuss.

If you see a 'Trade on [Platform]' button, a platform recommendation, or a promotional offer on our site, assume it contains an affiliate link unless otherwise stated. We label affiliate content throughout the site, but this blanket disclosure covers any instance we may have missed.

How We Make Money

Affiliate Commissions

Our primary revenue source is affiliate commissions from prediction market platforms. When you click a link on our site to a platform like Kalshi, Polymarket, or others, and subsequently create and fund an account, we may receive a one-time or recurring commission from that platform.

The commission structure varies by platform. Some pay a flat fee per new account (known as CPA, or cost per acquisition). Others pay a percentage of trading fees generated by referred users over a defined period (known as revenue share). In some cases, both structures may apply.

These commissions are paid by the platforms to us. You are never charged additional fees, higher prices, or less favorable terms because you used our link. Your trading experience and fee structure on the platform are identical whether you arrive through our link or directly.

What We Do Not Earn Revenue From

We do not sell advertising space on InsidePredictions.com. We do not accept sponsored content or paid placements. Platforms cannot pay for higher rankings, more favorable reviews, or preferential positioning on our site. We do not sell user data to third parties. We do not charge readers for access to any content on this site.

Why This Model

Affiliate revenue allows us to fund the real-money testing, ongoing research, and continuous updates that make this site useful. The alternative revenue models (display advertising, sponsored content, paywalls) each introduce editorial conflicts or user experience compromises that we believe would undermine the value we provide.

We chose affiliate partnerships because they align our incentives with yours: we succeed when we help you find the right platform. If we recommend a platform that disappoints you, you leave, and our referral has no long-term value.

How We Label Affiliate Content

On-Page Disclosure Bars

Every page on InsidePredictions.com that contains affiliate links includes an Affiliate Disclosure Bar positioned before the first affiliate link on the page. This bar reads:

InsidePredictions may earn a commission when you sign up through links on this page. This doesn't affect our rankings or recommendations, which are based on independent research and testing. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

The phrase "full affiliate disclosure" links to this page you are currently reading.

Trade Buttons and Platform Links

Buttons labeled "Trade on [Platform Name]" or similar calls to action contain affiliate tracking parameters. These buttons open in a new browser tab and direct you to the platform's website with a referral code that identifies InsidePredictions as the referring source.

Market Scanner

The Inside Predictions Market Scanner includes "Trade" buttons on individual market cards. These buttons link directly to the relevant market on the corresponding platform using affiliate links where available. An affiliate disclosure is displayed within the scanner interface.

Promotional Offers

When we feature platform promotional offers, sign-up bonuses, or promo codes on our Promos page or within content, these are affiliate-linked. We verify all promotional terms before publishing and include relevant conditions (minimum deposits, wagering requirements, expiration dates) alongside the offer.

Content Without Affiliate Links

Our educational content, news articles, regulatory guides, and tools (Odds Converter, Fee Calculator) are informational resources that do not exist primarily to drive affiliate clicks. These pages may contain contextual links to platforms for reference, which may or may not include affiliate tracking depending on the platform.

If a platform we discuss does not have an affiliate partnership with us, links to that platform are standard, non-affiliate links. We do not avoid covering platforms simply because they lack affiliate programs, and we do not prioritize coverage of platforms that have them.

Editorial Independence

How we keep affiliate revenue separate from content decisions.

Our Editorial Firewall

InsidePredictions maintains a structural separation between commercial relationships and editorial decisions. Rankings and scores are determined by our published evaluation methodology, which assigns weighted scores across six categories: Regulatory Status and Licensing, Trading Experience and Platform Quality, Fees and Cost Structure, Market Coverage and Depth, Deposit/Withdrawal and Fund Security, and Customer Support and Education. The weights and criteria are published on our How We Evaluate Platforms page. They do not change based on affiliate commission rates.

If a platform offers us a higher commission, its score does not change. If a platform terminates its affiliate relationship with us, we continue to cover it with the same editorial standards. If a new platform launches with no affiliate program, we still review it if our readers would benefit from coverage.

How You Can Verify This

Every platform review on InsidePredictions includes a substantive "Limitations" section documenting real drawbacks we encountered during testing. If a platform review contains only praise and no genuine criticisms, we have not tested it thoroughly enough to publish.

Our evaluation criteria and scoring weights are published and visible. You can apply them yourself to check our work. We review platforms that have no commercial relationship with us. Their presence on the site is driven by editorial value, not revenue potential.

What We Decline

We decline the following, regardless of financial incentive: paid placements or sponsored rankings, pre-written or platform-approved review copy, suppression of negative findings, and exclusive promotional language written by a platform's marketing team. No platform can purchase a higher position in our comparisons. All content is written by our editorial team based on our own testing and research.

Who Makes Editorial Decisions

Editorial decisions at InsidePredictions are made by our founding team. Robert C., our Founder & CMO, holds a Juris Doctor and an LLM in Intellectual Property. He has professional poker experience, over a decade of content marketing expertise, and has been active in prediction markets and cryptocurrency since 2012. Ben L., our Founder & CEO, brings over 20 years of experience in gaming industry operations, including integrated resort management, online gaming consulting, and compliance oversight. Full author credentials are available on our About page and in the author byline on every article.

Our Affiliate Partnerships

As of the date at the top of this page, InsidePredictions has active or pending affiliate relationships with the following prediction market platforms. This list is updated as relationships change.

PlatformRelationship TypeStatus
Kalshi[CPA / Revenue Share][Active / Pending]
Polymarket[CPA / Revenue Share][Active / Pending]
[Platform 3][Type][Status]

We also cover platforms with which we have no affiliate relationship. Coverage decisions are editorial, not commercial.

Affiliate relationships are subject to change. Platforms may modify, pause, or terminate their programs at any time. When a relationship changes, we update this table and note the change in the Change Log at the bottom of this page. Our editorial coverage continues regardless of affiliate status.

Practices We Prohibit

The following practices are prohibited by InsidePredictions editorial policy. We publish this list for transparency and as a commitment to our readers.

We never guarantee outcomes. Prediction market trading is inherently uncertain. We never state or imply that using a particular platform, strategy, or our recommendations will result in profits.

We never use misleading promotional language. Terms like 'guaranteed returns,' 'can't lose,' 'sure thing,' 'risk-free trading,' or 'easy money' are prohibited in all content.

We never suppress negative reviews to protect affiliate revenue. If a platform underperforms in testing, we publish that finding even if it reduces affiliate clicks.

We never fabricate testing data. Every platform metric we publish (withdrawal speeds, spreads, market counts) is based on actual testing or verifiable data sources.

We never misrepresent a platform's regulatory status. If a platform is not regulated by a specific authority, we do not claim or imply that it is.

We never disguise affiliate links. When a link contains affiliate tracking, it is disclosed through the mechanisms described in this document.

We never target vulnerable populations. Our content is not designed to encourage excessive trading, chase losses, or bypass responsible trading practices.

We never sell personal data to platforms or advertisers.

Important: Platform Availability Varies by Location

Prediction Markets Are Not Uniformly Available

Prediction market platforms operate under different regulatory frameworks depending on your location. Some platforms are available in certain jurisdictions and restricted or unavailable in others. The regulatory classification of prediction markets (as financial derivatives, gambling products, or something else entirely) varies by country and, in the United States, by state.

InsidePredictions provides informational and educational content about prediction markets globally. Our coverage of a platform does not constitute a representation that the platform is available or legal in your jurisdiction.

United States

In the United States, certain prediction market platforms operate as CFTC-registered Designated Contract Markets under federal oversight. However, the legality of prediction markets, particularly those offering contracts on sporting events, is actively contested at the state level. Multiple states have issued cease-and-desist orders, filed lawsuits, or taken enforcement actions against prediction market platforms.

We make reasonable efforts to note state-level restrictions in our platform reviews and comparison pages, but the regulatory landscape changes frequently. You are responsible for verifying that a platform is available and lawful in your state before creating an account. Our Where You Can Trade page provides geographic availability information based on our research.

International

Outside the United States, prediction market availability is governed by each country's financial regulation and gambling laws. In the United Kingdom, certain platforms may operate under the UK Gambling Commission or the Financial Conduct Authority. In the European Union, regulations vary by member state. In many Asian jurisdictions, prediction markets may be restricted or prohibited.

Crypto-native prediction market platforms operating on blockchain networks present additional regulatory complexity, as they may not be registered with any financial authority. Our geographic guides provide country-level availability information, but should not be relied upon as legal advice.

Our Position

InsidePredictions does not provide legal advice. We are not lawyers acting in a professional capacity when publishing this content, notwithstanding any legal qualifications held by members of our team. Our coverage of prediction markets is journalistic and educational in nature. We report on the regulatory landscape as we understand it and flag ambiguities where they exist, but we cannot and do not certify the legality of any platform in any jurisdiction.

If you are uncertain about whether prediction market trading is permitted in your location, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Risk Warnings

Trading Risk

Prediction market trading involves substantial financial risk. Event contracts are binary instruments: you will either receive the full contract value if the event resolves in your favor, or lose some or all of your investment if it does not. You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Past performance of any trading strategy, market analysis, or platform recommendation on this site does not guarantee future results.

Platform Risk

Prediction market platforms carry counterparty risk. While CFTC-regulated platforms maintain segregated customer funds and are subject to regulatory oversight, unregulated or crypto-native platforms may not offer the same protections. In the event of platform insolvency, technical failure, or regulatory action, you may not be able to recover deposited funds. A platform's regulatory status can change at any time.

Not Financial Advice

Nothing on InsidePredictions.com constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice. Our content is educational and informational. Prediction market contracts may have tax implications that vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for understanding and complying with your local tax obligations. Consult a qualified tax professional for guidance.

Responsible Trading

InsidePredictions encourages responsible trading practices. Set a budget for trading and do not exceed it. Never trade with funds earmarked for essential expenses. Understand the rules of every contract before trading. Be aware that the excitement of trading can lead to impulsive decisions.

How Affiliate Links Handle Your Data

What Happens When You Click

When you click an affiliate link on InsidePredictions, the link contains a referral code or tracking parameter that identifies our site as the referring source. This information is transmitted to the platform when you arrive at their website. The platform may set a cookie on your browser to associate your visit with our referral. The duration of this cookie varies by platform, commonly 30 to 90 days. If you create an account within that window, the platform may credit InsidePredictions with the referral.

What We Can See

Through affiliate tracking dashboards, we may have access to aggregate data about referrals: number of clicks, sign-ups, and funded accounts. We do not have access to your personal account details, trading activity, balances, or personal information held by the platform. On our own site, we may track affiliate link clicks using analytics to understand which content is most useful. This data is used internally and is not shared with platforms or third parties.

Your Control

You are not required to use our affiliate links. You can navigate to any platform directly by typing their URL into your browser. Using or not using our links does not affect the content you see on InsidePredictions or the terms you receive on any platform. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. For complete information about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

International Advertising and Disclosure Standards

United Kingdom

InsidePredictions aims to comply with the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) requirements for online endorsements. The CMA requires that affiliate relationships be disclosed in a manner that is unavoidable, understandable, and unambiguous. For UK readers: prediction market platforms may be regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, the Financial Conduct Authority, or may not be regulated by any UK authority. Regulation status affects consumer protections available to you. Check the platform's regulatory status before trading.

European Union

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Digital Services Act, commercial content must be clearly identified. InsidePredictions identifies affiliate content through the disclosure mechanisms described in this document. EU residents should be aware that prediction market availability varies significantly by member state. The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) may apply to crypto-native prediction platforms.

Asia-Pacific

Prediction market availability in Asia-Pacific jurisdictions is generally more restricted than in the US or UK. Many jurisdictions classify prediction markets under gambling laws with varying degrees of restriction. InsidePredictions does not recommend or encourage the use of platforms in jurisdictions where such use may be prohibited.

Australia

Australian readers should be aware that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulate advertising of financial products. Prediction markets may be classified as either financial products or gambling products depending on structure and jurisdiction.

Disclosure Updates and Change Log

This Affiliate Disclosure is a living document. We review it quarterly and update it whenever a new affiliate partnership is established or terminated, the regulatory landscape changes materially, FTC or international regulatory guidance is updated, or we identify an area where this disclosure should be clearer.
