Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information — and what rights you have.
Last Updated: March 2026 · Reviewed quarterly.
What We Collect (and What We Don't)
InsidePredictions.com is a prediction market education and affiliate site. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and what control you have over it.
The summary: We collect minimal data. We do not run analytics tracking scripts on our site. We do not set tracking cookies. We do not require you to create an account. If you click an affiliate link, the destination platform — not us — handles your account data. We do not sell your personal information.
We are an informational site, not a trading platform. We do not process trades, hold funds, or manage accounts. When you click through to a prediction market platform, that platform's privacy policy governs how they handle your data from that point forward.
Who We Are
InsidePredictions.com is an independently operated educational and informational resource covering prediction markets. We provide educational content, platform reviews, comparison tools, and news coverage of the prediction market industry.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, InsidePredictions is the data controller (under GDPR) and data user (under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance) for personal information collected through this site.
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at:
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it:
Contact form submissions: If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This data is stored in our backend system and used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Newsletter subscriptions: If you subscribe to our Daily Briefing or other email communications, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email we send.
Corrections and feedback: If you email us to report an error or provide feedback, we retain that correspondence to track and resolve the issue.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit InsidePredictions.com, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure as part of standard web server operations:
Server logs: Our hosting providers record standard HTTP request data, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are maintained by our hosting providers for operational and security purposes.
Typography: Our site uses self-hosted fonts served from our own domain. No third-party font services (such as Google Fonts) are contacted when pages load, and no data is transmitted to external font providers.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not run analytics tracking scripts (such as Google Analytics) on our site. We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioral tracking technologies. We do not build user profiles or track your activity across pages for analytics purposes. The only cookies set by our site are essential functional cookies for UI state (such as sidebar preferences), and these do not contain personal information or track your behavior.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Respond to You
If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we use your contact information to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists based on a contact form submission.
To Send Communications You Requested
If you subscribe to our newsletter or Daily Briefing, we use your email address to send those communications. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
To Track Affiliate Referrals
When you click an affiliate link on our site, a tracking parameter identifies InsidePredictions as the referring source. This allows the destination platform to credit us with the referral. This tracking is managed by the destination platform, not by us. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
To Comply with Legal Obligations
We may use or disclose your information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
InsidePredictions has a minimal cookie footprint. Here is exactly what our site uses:
Essential Functional Cookies
Our site sets a small number of functional cookies and localStorage entries for UI state (such as sidebar open/closed preferences). These are necessary for the site to function correctly, do not contain personal information, and do not track your behavior. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without breaking core site functionality.
What We Do Not Use
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking. We do not use a consent management platform because we do not set non-essential cookies that would require one.
Third-Party Cookies from Affiliate Links
When you click an affiliate link to a prediction market platform, the destination platform may set a cookie on your browser to associate your visit with our referral. These cookies are set by the platform, not by us. The duration varies by platform (commonly 30 to 90 days). We do not control these cookies. Refer to the platform's own privacy policy for details.
Typography
Our site uses self-hosted fonts. No external font services are contacted, and no data is transmitted to third-party font providers when pages load.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Because InsidePredictions sets only essential functional cookies, blocking cookies may affect site functionality but will not affect your ability to read our content.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process data as part of operating our site. Each service has its own privacy policy.
Hosting
Our frontend is hosted on cloud infrastructure. Like any web host, our hosting provider processes standard HTTP request data (IP addresses, user agent strings, request metadata) as part of serving web pages.
Backend Infrastructure
Our backend services, including contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions, are hosted on cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
Content Delivery (WordPress)
Our news and educational article content is served from WordPress instances at news.insidepredictions.com and learn.insidepredictions.com. WordPress processes standard HTTP request data when serving content. No WordPress user accounts are required or available to site visitors.
Asset Storage & Delivery
Some site assets (such as preview images) are stored on cloud storage and delivered via a content delivery network (CDN). Our CDN provider processes standard request data as part of content delivery.
Typography
Our site uses self-hosted fonts served directly from our domain. No third-party font services are used.
Prediction Market Platforms (Affiliate Partners)
When you click an affiliate link and visit a prediction market platform, that platform becomes the data controller for any information you provide to them. We do not have access to your account details, trading activity, or personal information on any platform. See our Affiliate Disclosure for a list of current affiliate partners.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
Contact form submissions: Retained for the duration of the inquiry and up to 12 months after resolution. You can request earlier deletion.
Newsletter subscriptions: Your email address is retained until you unsubscribe. Unsubscription takes effect immediately.
Server logs: Retained by our hosting providers according to their standard retention policies, typically 30 to 90 days.
Affiliate referral data: Managed and retained by the affiliate platforms, not by us.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers: Our hosting, backend, and email service providers process data on our behalf as necessary to operate this site. They are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they provide to us.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We would notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. We respect these rights regardless of where you live, though the legal basis and specific mechanisms may differ.
Rights for All Visitors
Regardless of your location, you can: unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in every email; request deletion of your contact form submissions by emailing info@insidepredictions.com; control cookies through your browser settings; and choose not to use affiliate links without any impact on your access to our content.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. These include the right to access the personal data we hold about you, the right to have your data corrected if inaccurate, the right to have your data deleted (the 'right to be forgotten'), the right to restrict or object to certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases for processing your data are: consent (for newsletter subscriptions), legitimate interests (for operating our site infrastructure and responding to inquiries), contract performance (for responding to contact form submissions), and legal obligation (where applicable).
To exercise any of these rights, email info@insidepredictions.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Other Jurisdictions
Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction. If you believe you have rights under your local privacy law that are not addressed here, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to address your request.
International Data Transfers
InsidePredictions serves a global audience. Our third-party service providers may process data in jurisdictions outside your own, including the United States.
Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with data transfer restrictions, we rely on our service providers' compliance mechanisms, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), adequacy decisions, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
If you have concerns about international data transfers, contact us at info@insidepredictions.com.
Children's Privacy
InsidePredictions is not directed at children under 18. Prediction market trading is restricted to adults in all jurisdictions we are aware of. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, contact us at info@insidepredictions.com and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we collect. Our site is served over HTTPS. Our backend infrastructure provides encryption at rest and in transit.
However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have concerns about the security of your data, contact us at info@insidepredictions.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page. For material changes that significantly affect how we handle your personal information, we will provide prominent notice on our site.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of InsidePredictions after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
