Reality TV predictions 2026: Big Brother 28, Bachelorette spoilers, and Dancing with the Stars

The Bachelorette Season 22 finished filming on December 19, 2025, and ABC had it on the schedule for March 22, 2026. Three days out, TMZ published a 2023 video of lead Taylor Frankie Paul in a physical altercation with an ex-boyfriend, and Disney pulled the season the same day, saying it would "not move forward with the new season of 'The Bachelorette' at this time." ABC's announced summer and fall 2026 schedules carried no episode of it. The winner market stayed open through all of it, and the field holds an Other (Season Cancelled) contract alongside the contestants, so a buyer can take a position on the season never reaching air at all.
Four contract shapes carry that risk differently, and a reality season lists all four at once. A season winner settles on the show's own vote, whether that is Big Brother's seven-member jury or a pure public vote in an app. A weekly elimination reprices episode to episode on a single house decision. A placement contract asks where someone finishes rather than whether they win, so it settles on the order of eviction and not on the jury alone. A cast or role contract settles on a network announcement, which is a decision nobody inside the show gets to make.
How each contract settles.
A winner contract prices whatever the show's own rule says decides it, and no two of these rules are the same.
- Big Brother hands the decision to a jury of the seven most recently evicted houseguests, sequestered after eviction and voting between the final two on finale night. Seven has been the jury size since Season 25, and it holds for Season 28, which finishes October 1, 2026.
- Survivor settles at Final Tribal Council, where players already voted out question the finalists and then vote. Aubry Bracco took Season 50 on an 8-3-0 vote.
- Love Island USA has no jury at all. The public votes in the show's app during the final week and the couple with the most votes wins, with no judges and no islanders casting anything.
- Dancing with the Stars turns the three judges' scores into a percentage of all points awarded that night, does the same with the viewer vote, and adds the two. Alix Earle finished Season 34 on a perfect 90 out of 90 and lost to Robert Irwin's 89.
- Big Brother Brasil hands the same format to the public. The Brazilian series settles its winner on a viewer vote rather than a jury of evicted housemates, so two shows sharing a name price two different mechanisms.
- A cast contract settles on nobody in the show. Summer House and Dancing with the Stars list a separate contract per name, and each one turns on a network announcement, so gameplay, feeds and spoilers are all irrelevant to it.
- The Emmy for outstanding reality competition series is decided by Television Academy members. It prices an industry ballot about a show, not any result the show produced.
The practical consequence is that two contracts on one season can disagree without either being wrong. A winner contract and a placement contract read the same jury vote and settle on different things, and a cast contract on the same show ignores that vote entirely.
Where the informed money comes from.
Paramount+ and Pluto TV have carried the Big Brother house feeds around the clock since July 10, 2026, the day after the season premiered. Episodes air Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, so a feed subscriber knows who was nominated and who won the veto days before the edited version reaches CBS. The feed cuts to a placeholder during competitions, nomination ceremonies and veto meetings, and those blackouts run hours, not days.
The Bachelorette Season 22 filmed October 26 through December 19, 2025, and Disney pulled it on March 19, 2026, three days before its scheduled premiere, so the outcome sat on tape without ever airing. That filming-to-airing gap, not a camera feed, is what Reality Steve trades on. Steve Carbone's claim is that 95 percent of the stuff he gets is legit, a figure he counts himself and no outlet has audited, and he named Daisy Kent as the winner of Joey Graziadei's Bachelor season when Kelsey Anderson won.
One gap runs days, from a nomination the feeds show to the episode that airs it. The other runs months, and it narrows to a single blogger who grades his own accuracy.
A winner field is not one yes-or-no: The Big Brother Season 28 winner market lists a separate contract for every houseguest, and exactly one of them pays. Buying a name is a position that this person wins, priced against every other name in the same field. A contract like Ariana Madix hosting Love Island USA Season 9 works the other way, settling on one condition being met or not. Price the whole field, not the favourite alone.
Check the contract can resolve: The Bachelorette Season 22 was pulled three days before its premiere, and Polymarket's winner market names that case in its own rule: if the final episode is not publicly available by November 30, 2026, it resolves to Other rather than to any contestant. Kalshi asks a narrower version of the same real question, whether ABC airs any episode before January 1, 2027. Read the resolution rule before the price, because here the rule is the whole trade.
Match the contract, not just the name: The same Big Brother houseguest appears on Kalshi and on Polymarket, and once the contract genuinely matches, the two land close together. What differs is the definition around it: the Polymarket event closes October 1, 2026 while the Kalshi one runs to January 7, 2027. Confirm the season, the outcome wording and the resolution source line up before reading one against the other, because a different window is a different question.
Weekly clock, season clock: A next-eviction contract settles within days on one house vote. A season winner contract carries feed information, jury composition and format twists like the BB Block Buster all the way to the October 1 finale. Nominations and veto results reach feed watchers earlier in the week, before the episode that shows them airs. A read that is right about Thursday can still be wrong about the season.
Confirm which venue you can trade: Kalshi has been a CFTC-designated contract market since November 2020. Polymarket's international exchange has been closed to US users since its 2022 CFTC settlement, and the separate US venue that cleared the CFTC in late 2025 is a different platform with its own eligibility rules. State-level limits move faster than either: Kalshi agreed in July 2026 to geofence sports, election and entertainment contracts out of Nevada by August 12 or face a $120,000 daily penalty. Confirm with the platform before funding an account.
